What do you guys recommend? I'm hearing 1/8" as standard. It is a California Quadrajet (7045530) if that makes any difference.

Sorry for the self-reply... the '76 Shop manual says 7/16" for California car, so since the carb code reads that way that's what I'll try, unless one of you folks knows different.

If it is a stock application and assuming you are using the correct N/S assembly and OEM style float I'd use the stock float setting.....
