Summer is about over and haven't played with the car
« on: September 17, 2019, 06:29:56 PM »
Well, its been a while since I have posted anything, was busy with work then tried to take some digits off at work with a big belt grinder.
But before that happened I changed the flexplate on the car for teenager reasons... and in the process I somehow managed to break a bolt off in the diff yoke when pulling the driveshaft so I could slide the transmission back.
Well I was mad so I let it sit for a month and when I finally decided to take care of it,  WHAM.
I was grinding the edge back onto a 4 foot pry bar and it jumped and sucked my hand in. Wasn't pretty and I'll spare you the details, but i still had all my fingers just muscle and tendon damage. Some surgery and working on physical therapy i can wiggle them and have most of the feeling still.  Just wish it was my left hand and not the right.

Sorry to hear that. Thanks for letting us know you are back. Seems the worst things often happen trying to help out. Your child appreciates it, I'm sure.

I cut my hand badly 3 years ago chopping wood, I was just hitting the axe handle on the ground and the axe head slipped down and pinched a big piece of my palm between the iron and the handle.. 20 stitches etc...took 1 year for the feeling in two of my fingers, thumb and palm to return. Still some numb areas that will be that way for ever. I seriously thought my fingerpicking days were over...

Let us know when you get back to work on the car.

Finally get some time off of work and cant even mess with the car. Was putting in 70 hours a week and I'm sure that has much to do with me getting injured. Hour exhaustion plus it's been hot. We've had a few bad incidents the last month at work and I'm sure hours put in has a big part of it.
