Hello Cliff…I picked up a nice 7040288 Ford 429/auto Quadrajet….on disassemble, I noticed the air horn only uses the two outer pull over enrichments? Is this correct? It seems so as the casting is not drilled for the other two emulsion tubes.

Are you saying it has no main well air bleed tubes, or something else?
mcx:
Yes, it has NO inner emulsion/bleed tubes installed…it only has the outer POE tubes(special multiple hole cross drilled versions)…Cliff mentions them in his book. It all looks factory correct. Nice carb, later/better float design, very small main and upper idle bleeds, rich secondary rods.C6 trans arm too!!
novadude:
Interesting. I have never seen one without secondary main well bleed tubes.
