What do you adjust to get the full amount of travel with the accel. pump and how do you know when you've reached max.? Carb #7028268 68' GTO.
Thanks!

Let me finish I got sidetracked by my little one. I opened the throttle all the way and measured the pump rod that was visible which was 4/32 then i released the throttle and measured the pump again which was 20/32 subtracted the two and only have 16/32 of travel. Where do I begin to regain the other 5/32 or so travel? I'm already using Cliff's parts.

First I'd verify that you need more pump shot.

Do some testing and tuning.  If throttle response is good, and transition to the secondaries is smooth, then no more pump shot is required.

A quick way to increase pump shot without trimming the pump shaft is to bend the arm coming up to the lever from the linkage.  It can be straightened back out or replaced later.  This will allow the pump to raise up some, and add more volume/delivery to the engine.

If testing shows the engine likes a bit more, trim the pump shaft accordingly.....Cliff
