ok, please explain single air bleed carb. to me

As long as we're on the subject. Why are quadrajet air bleeds so much bigger than Holley's. The jet sizes are comparable. Are Holley's dumping fuel or do quadrajets pull fuel so hard on the primary side they need the bigger bleeds? Or am I missing something?

It's really difficult to make that comparison, completely different designs and the Q-jet is a lot more efficient on the primary side........Cliff
