A quick, hopefully easy question

(1/1)

DoubleDingo:
I asked Cliff about a carb I have that I want to use for my 292.  I sent the pictures, and provided current jet and primary rod sizes, and he said it's a large MAB unit.  Does MAB = Main Air Bleed?  I didn't want to bug him with this question as he is busy enough already.

Thanks

Shane

mcx:
Yes,  MAB refers to Main Air Bleed...some carbs are single MAB, others are dual MAB.

DoubleDingo:
Cool, thanks.  So would a large MAB carb be a single?  And a dual MAB have smaller air bleeds?

Kenth:
1970 and later Chevy passenger car Qjets uses the large .120" upper in airhorn and lower in bowl MAB`s.
1969 and older Chevy Qjets uses the smaller .050" upper and lower MAB
