throttle shafts

hi,could anybody tell me if throttle shafts are different between 4m quadrajets and m4m's? thanks

There are two different throttle shafts.  Early carburetors, Marine, and Chevy trucks thru 1978 used the short shaft.  The 1975 and later hot air, electric, and CCC  carburetors used a longer shaft.

The linkage on the end of those shafts is different for different models, applications, etc......Cliff

thanks for the reply cliff.though something in the reply leads me to another question. ccc is that a divorced choke? and if not does mean some 75 & later have the short shaft? thanks again.
