Air cleaner for 461 stroker engine

Recently put a Pontiac 461 in a 68 Firebird. #26 heads factory intake and ram air exhaust.Running a larger Buick carb converted over to Pontiac linkage. Car is for street use only. I have the original factory air cleaner assembly that came with the car. Should I use that one or is there a better option like an open air filter? Thanks

The higher you can get the lid from the carb the better.  I like to see at least 3" from the air filter base gasket surface to the lid......
