White power piston retainers, o.d. To big?

7029263 power piston bore, I have 4 from previous kits, all to bid o.d. Will not fit. Anybody else going thru this? Please look into this.

They are "interference" fit so go in with some effort.  Never had any issues getting them in. 

Take a pocket knife and chamfer the lower edge a little more.  On the ones I sell I've already removed the sharp edge and chamfered them a bit, but sometimes they need a little more help.....

I am micing bore at .380 plastic bushings .392, going to be a real tight fit

Out of curiosity I went out to the shop and installed one of
Cliffs PP retainers in a 17084226 casting that was laying around.
As usual it's tight but it fits.
There is a step at the top of the bore where the retainer fits
that is 0.392 inch. Check that the stepped area is not occupied
with part of the old retainer.  ...????
