Who makes a cheap carb stand?
« on: December 29, 2022, 07:36:59 AM »
Looking for a carb stand, I see one for around $65.  I’d just like a plastic one.  Anyone know any?

This and a some 5/16" x 3" UNC screws, washers and nuts will make a nice stand.

Thanks, never thought about making one form a spacer.   Big swap in a week here, I’ll keep an eye out for a cheap one.

I have one of these too.

Same one that I use, but I seem to recall them being much cheaper when I bought mine.

I use a piece of plywood with 4 bolts sticking out of it.
I routered the edges, and painted it (It's pretty fancy).
It cost about zero dollars and has been used to successfully rebuild at least 20 Q-jets.

At the big swap last week, I couldn’t find one for sale.   Even with all the tool guys now there.

I made one in about 30 minutes with a spare piece of plywood and about $8 worth of fasteners from ACE Hardware.

Definitely not the cheapest but I really like this one I got from Summit. It can be changed around to fit different bolt patterns
