CARB 17084230 Stumbles under hard braking

I put this carb on my 64 El Camino.  It wants to die under hard braking.  Took it apart and it has a brass float set at 1/8".  Reset to 11/32,  and it is missing the phenolic filler in the bowl.  I think the brass float and missing filler are two problems that may be effecting me.  Where can I get a filler and the correct float?
