Reggie:
Firstly thanks for the join.
I have a nice 7043283 that i was hoping to use on a cammed 300hp 350 4 speed car.  I took it to the local quaddie guy and he told me its no good to use on that application and to find a 7029207  .  Ive had zero luck which lead me to Cliffs book.
Should i still pursue looking or is the 7043283 viable?  Thanks Reggie

Mudsport96:
I personally am having some trouble finding exact specs on the 704 carb.. comes back as Holden. You in Australia? Also as for the 702 carb being better, that i dont know. But, when rebuilding one, you can make either work for you by putting the right parts in it. Jets, rods and such can all be gotten from cliff. Hell the carb on my mildly warm 350 is from a smog era truck, and it runs great because i specced it out the way it needed to be

Reggie:
Yes, im in Australia.  I have a factory 350 HT monaro, the original Quadrajet is long gone and crazy money so i need to use another , maybe the  7043283

Cliff Ruggles:
Nothing at all wrong with the carb you have now.  Does it have the correct type of choke for your needs?

Fuel inlet location?

Linkage, etc?

Reggie:
Hi Cliff,  choke, inlet position and linkage position is fine.  Only thing thats incorrect is the inlet pipe fitting is smaller than a chev one.   Can i buy all the parts to reco this carb from you and get them shipped to Australia please
