Hey everyone, I'm trying to adjust the wide open throttle shift points through the governor on a th400 in a Gto. So far I got her to around 4600-4800rpm from the previous 4000 rpm. Big difference..
What I'm trying to figure out is how high I should go, given this engine was rebuilt 30 years ago with cast pistons and connecting rods, even has the stock valve springs.
Cam has since been changed to a Crower 60916 degreed at 108 icl with 1.52 roller tip rockers.
Unported 16 heads, high compression, stock intake manifold, quadrajet and 3.55 gears.
I was thinking 5200 rpm, given the camshaft... let me know what you all think, thank you.
Car is mainly used as a cruiser with occasional wot bursts.
