Kavesh:
APT screw exposed but could not be removed.

Carb on motor

Cliff Ruggles:
In almost all cases you have to heat the baseplate with a propane torch to get the APT screw out.  About 95 percent of the time they come right out with some heat.

I would get rid of the long length of rubber fuel supply hose and run a solid metal line to the fuel pump.

The factory burned a lot of good families to the ground before they started doing this.  It is NEVER a good idea to use any rubber fuel hose on the pressure side of the fuel pump and if you do make sure to put a "bulge" in the metal line so it can't slip off......FWIW.......

Kavesh:
Thanks Cliff, I may try to get that screw out on my spare baseplate.

I plan on replacing the rubber hose. I need to mount my power steering pump and then will know how to run the fuel line neatly.

Cliff Ruggles:
Good plan!.....
