accelerator discharge holes (Are they large?)
« on: November 11, 2010, 09:47:51 AM »
I just read your Q-jet book & I'm trying to make a intelligent decision opn whether to tackle doing the modifying myself or get in line.I've done a lot of Holley's & several stock q-jets.I must have missed some info on the Edel. #1910 accelerator discharge holes. The rest of the info I understand. I think,I traced them from the main body chambers, thru the air horn gasket,to the Air horn holes.Your Edel. receipe  says .028-.032, I measure the hole in the air horn hole at .071. Have I missed something or did Edel. use too big of a holes or is the restricter's not there,it's in the main body chamber's? I see the 2 pump chambers(.125) in the main body that leads from the pump/pump ball hole/front plugs area & leads to the top of the main body, then on to the air horn. I've attached a few photo's.Thanks Kelley

Forget the post,I found a .025 restrictor hole in the intermediate wall between the accelerator discharge entry(.070 hole) & the (.070) exit hole that's in the primary barrels.Later Jr
