Baseplate APT screw
« on: October 15, 2023, 10:15:39 AM »
I’m overhauling a 72 Olds 7042250, I have removed the baseplate APT screw and once again noticed it has a much larger thread than the usual APT 10-32 thread? I have seen this a few times now and was wondering if GM used different types? These carbs still had the tamper-proof cap. Any info appreciated.

It's rare but once in a while they will be a larger thread, pretty sure it's 1/4" no #10......
