17059272 specs
« on: December 07, 2023, 01:57:53 PM »
I recently went through a stock 17059272 to put on a friend's car. I've made a few mods to the main and idle circuits as well as the secondaries. I have NOT done anything with the MABs or the IABs and I'm wondering if I should try it on the car first, or proceed with some conservative drilling.

Engine is a 428 with 48 heads, 068 cam, 5spd, 3.55.
Current config of carb is :
UMAB .075
LMAB .041
UIAB .070
LIAB .070
idle tubes .039
DCR .055
pri jetting 74/45C
bypass holes .111

It just seems like the LMABs are quite small to me. Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

No mention of the compression ratio of the 428 but if it's stock or close to it the tiny little 068 cam woln't need a lot of idle fuel or bypass air, etc.

I'd leave all the airbleeds at the stock sizes.

It should be fine with 74 jets and 45 tapered primary rods in it......
