Ethanol free fuel
Cadman-iac:
I've noticed a few stations in the area that are selling the ethanol-free fuel, and I was wondering if you have any thoughts or experiences using this instead of the crap from the regular pumps.
Does this stuff effect the accelerator pump cups and needles like the ethanol laced fuel does? It's priced like premium, and before I try it I wanted to know if it's worth the money and hassle.
Thanks
quadrajam:
I dont have any problems with the E10 fuel in my cars, boat motors, mower etc.
If I let anything set for long periods of time I will use ethenol free with fuel stabilizer.
With the small 2 smoke engines I started using the canned fuel. Lots easier.
If your using Cliffs parts in a Q-jet you wont have any problems.

Cadman-iac:
Is there any performance advantage to using the ethanol-free fuel, more bang for your buck so to speak?
Kenth:
Depends of the tune-up.

Wow! That's a lot to take in. It sounds like if you use the ethanol-free stuff you can tune like the factory intended, but if you are using the ethanol crap you will have to recalibrate for it.
Going with the ethanol-free fuel means that you will have to make sure you can get to another station that sells it if you plan on traveling too.
Thanks for the link, that explains a lot.
