How many turns out is reasonable for a 1979 q jet with fine thread needles?
I have mine out 8 full turns before the idle is good. It still is a little weak, going into gear, until engine is fully hot soaked.
This is with the throttle fully closed... screw fully retracted.
One turn into the trottle, on the idle speed screw, results in nozzle drizzel at idle.
Do I need to open the .038 idle tube, or .058 channel?
Do I need to shrink the .106 air bypass?
Do I need to shrink the .070 Upper air bleed, or go to .050-.052 in the air horn instead?
I have a 455 Buick with Kenny-Bell C118 cam 228-246 118 spread, 9.5 comp, ported stage 1 heads. (12.5 ET, 3800 lb, 3500 stall, 3.42 gear)
