Carb dumping Too Much Fuel

I Have A Q-jet From a 1979 olds on a 1973 Olds 350 Rocket That Was Rebuilt In 2009 At A Machine Shop,What Could Be Causing The Problem

"Rebuilt" is a broad term.  Could be a multitude of things wrong, heavy float, float set incorrectly, bent metering rod hanger (common problem), power piston stuck, jets drilled out to a larger size, etc, etc.  The jets and metering rods could also be worn out, as they slide together for many years and both items wear considerably in some units.

The best course of action would be to install one of our SR kits, with new primary jets and metering rods.  I'd replace the power piston spring, and install a new secondary plastic cam and spring as well.....Cliff

thanks cliff,i appreciate that alot,i know the guy who did the carb put a brass float in it and i read your book and i remember you said that nitryphile floats is better,so i will look to replace that and the jets and the metering rods and check the hanger
