can you remove the lower restriction of the idle tube and just have the tube only one size

Cliff Ruggles:
The holes would be over .050", and enough idle fuel for a Pro Stock drag racing engine!

The largest idle tubes I've ever had to use were .042", and very seldom go past .038".  Much easier to reduce the idle airbleed sizes to put more fuel to the idle system instead of all that emulsion air.....Cliff

carb is for a 79 301 stock down channel idle tubes are at .052  72 jets 44 custom rods. green pp spring. would not idle well at smaller setting. pulls 18 vaccum at idle plugs looklight tan main air blees .065 it would run with .045 idle tubes. with stock .038 had to choke it would die. pontiac 301 60 over. redone by motor works 6 years ago. i cant fuger out why it wants so much fuel at idle . it also has a real nice tone.  and eats tires. tun them into powder. any help would be great runs great ohther wise. just a small miss when it get over 200 temp/ does idle smooth in gear. runinng 89 to
