secondary airflap question.
« on: June 25, 2011, 02:56:29 AM »
hello all,

woundering what size the 4 x taped threads are in the secodary air flap?
( the screws that hold the 2 x airflaps to the shaft)

it seems I have broken  the head off one of the screws that screw into the shaft; in trying to remove the screws.....

now need to re-drill & tap new thread.

thanks boz...

Aren't those screws staked on the underside?

I bet you can grab the "bottom" end, and thread them out from the other
side.

yes, correct they are staked... but there is not enough of the screw through the other side to get a hold of... so it looks like i'll need to re-drill & tap..

Choke flap and secondary airflap screws are #6-32's.  We have the correct length and style fasteners in our kits.  They can be opened up to 8-32 if you get in trouble there, we stock those as well.......Cliff
