hot air choke vacuum
(1/1)
magicrat56:
cliff, is it safe to assume that q-jets are calibrated with the vacuum in the choke housing, that basically is a controlled "leak"? just wondering if i should leave that port open or capped off? seems to act as a complement to idle by-pass air. what are your thoughts on this. thanks as always
davis95:
It's not a leak at all assuming that the hot air choke is in place with the gasket between the choke and choke housing. This orifice is there to let hot air into the choke housing that warms up the choke coil. When going to an electric choke remove the gasket and plug the hole.
