Gas in Vac Port

Swapping around vacuum advance, tuning out a spark knock. Anyway, removed cap from vacuum port on base plate, cap must have been full of gas. 1/2 ton 4x4 gets about 12 mpg in town, runs really good. What could be wrong?

Front plugs could be leaking, and the fuel migrating into the cap. Not sure otherwise how fuel could get there?....Cliff
