Getting ready to get my GTO out for another year at the track, i need your advice on the main air bleeds on my carb. i checked them since last year and im getting .076, Cliff .078 won,t go in and the .076 is sloppy may be .077 seems large!! All your book states is .070. Is this a big problem?? Car really ran goof last year and shooting for the 12,s. Idling seems aratic untill it warms up a bit. No power piston, .068 jets, No choke, Running a I REAR HANGER, going to try a k with your rods i have now. Thanks so much as usual for all your advice.

From the factory that carburetor had much smaller MAB's.  Did you drill them out somewhere along the way?

The IAB's were pretty small in the upper part of the casting, and large lowers, from what I can remember?  They will "average" around .070" between the pair, so I don't recomend modifying them....Cliff

They wouldn't effect the idle quality, and no need to change them if you have tuned for that particular size....Cliff
