7037576 carter quadrajet on stock 70 skylark 350?

Cliff Ruggles:
A stock Buick 350 isn't going to need large idle mixture screw holes, or a small float.  I would get one of our SR kits, to get it up to par for modern fuel, and rebuild it back to stock specs.  Test the carb at that point, and go back and make changes if/as needed.

Very good idea to install bushings for the primary shaft during the build, or kit is easy to use, no drill press or special tools required........Cliff

What's the sign of secondary throttle that need throttle bushing repair?  My secondary throttle is loose pretty badly.

Cliff Ruggles:
The secondary shaft is supposed to have some clearance, they seal tight on the large throttle plates when closed.  If you get them too tight, the throttle plates will not center and seal up each time they close.  I do NOT recomend bushing them....Cliff

Oh! Good to know. Many Thanks!
