Cliff Ruggles:
If it doesn't pan out, I have several here in spare parts.  $75 each, plus the cost of the parts to build them.....Cliff

freddyfingaz:
Sweet I will! By way, I'm real impressed with your book because I just met new friend who claim he's know quadrajet by heart for 45 years that he is teaching me everything he knows. He's great teacher. I asked him if he ever read your book. He said no. So I loaned him my book  since  last Saturday. He said WOW!  Good book and he actually learn something new and said ur book made lot of sense that he never thought of it. Hes just straight factory rebuild quadrajets. Thanks to you! Now, we are excited to experiments quadrajet for our modified engines.

Cliff Ruggles:
It's interesting but we run into folks all the time that have been building Q-jets for many years.

It's pretty rare if any of them even know what idle tubes are, and 95 percent of them don't install bushings into the throttle body!......Cliff

freddyfingaz:
Yup, I'm seeing that. At least he know it now and excited with new knowledge.

I just got my oringial quadrajet... Everything are looking good but all throttles are very loose. I just wanted to make sure I'm heading on right path with this qjet.

Only thing I should do are install throttle bushing on only  primary throttle, setting all throttle at 90 degree, repair leaky  bottom plugs, hexicoil 7/8 fuel filter housing, polishing power piston and accelerator pump, drill secondary Wells to .035, tap old checkball into accelerator seat and test leak, replace plastic  secondary cam, correct setting linkages,.test vacuum everything and choke pull offs, get accelerator pump with blue seal and grater spring?, then rebuild rest in stock way.

Would it bad idea if I use 1975 smaller floater with .125 solid fuel seat and fuel pressure regulator with high pressure mech pump and set it to 6.5 psi ?

freddyfingaz:
I'm not sure about drill idle screw holes to .090 and clipping idle screws springs until they are fully sit and and add bypass system for more controlling idle. I think I will skip this and leave it stock. I'm little confusing.  I even got a advice from this dude saying I should modifies cfm to get better response.  Plus couple other advices.
