Title: huh!? (pontiac airhorn question)

putting aside some of the details, I have been loaned a carb for inspection;
It is obvious that this carb has been apart from the following details;
1) primary butterflies have been exchanged for non-GM parts
2) thick epoxy on primary and secondary well plugs
3) throttlebody appears to have been sanded smoothe on the bottom, and secondary butterflies appear to have been cleaned with a wire brush of sorts.

OK, with that attempting to paint a picture, I am left scratching my head on this airhorn, because I cannot find a casting number on it.

Maybe only Cliff can speak to this, but were airhorns ever made with no casting number?
Where might I look for (hidden?) stampings which might speak to it's pedigree?

It looks to be a 1968-1970 Pontiac non-POE airhorn

Clue: it has a washer to retain the belows...

The casting number may be on the underside nearly the accl pump hole....

I'm at a loss;
It appears as though Carter manufactured parts had the casting number o nthe top, and I might be wrong, but the casting number didn't always seem to follow "real" Rochester made units for a given model year, but this one has no number on the top in the "Carter" spot, nor does it have a number on the bottom in the common Rochester spot.
