Title: ID my carb

My quadrojet Has a ID that I can't find anywhere. The numbers are 26260A1569. Thanks for any help.

Can you post some pics of the carb.  I can smell the pics and tell you what it is!.....

Hi Cliff, First thanks for responding. I will try to post some pictures for the carb. I can handle taking the pictures, but I don't know about posting them. I'm not very computer savy. It looks like an older style with a divorce style choke and no Idle solenoid. It's on a 1967 firebird with a OHC 6 cylinder that was converted to a 4 barrel. Anyway I will try my best to post and thanks again.

In may 1969 date code was added to the same line and 70 eliminated from model number so all type would fit one line.
Date code on your carb is 156:th day of 1969 and application number (70)26260 making it a service replacement unit for 1966 Tempest OHV-6 230 cui engine W/AT.

If you are not running the A.I.R. system you may want to replace the #49 primary rods for a set of #44-#42.
