Bolted the fresh #7042264 carb (Recipie #1) on and the Pontiac 400 runs excellent!  Idles perfect, no hesitation, maybe a very slight bog with secondary (thinking maybe need to tweak flap spring or restrict vacuum) but overall, very impressive!

I am sure I can do a little more adjusting with rods & jets (has stock 74/47 primary and CS secondary), but much improved and very driveable as is.

I will be ordering rods & jets to keep playing with my 7043252 as well, which had 70 jet/50 rods, and CJ secondary, so a little on the lean side with primary...

Good news!  Been pretty busy here so haven't been posting much.  Big storm came thru and we were without power for 4 days, still cleaning up the aftermath.

We built a new addition on the shop as well, so BURIED in work as usual!.....Cliff

cliff they used to call that the good old days .when you used lanterns for light and the outhouse was your bathroom. the good thing was you always had the index from a sears and roebuck or a monkey wards catalog. just thought a spread a little humor. dean
