I removed the 2 brl and put an over the counter kit in it and ended up replacing the fuel pump also ,I already had the kit and thought I should go ahead and try it ! After I got it started and made some adjustments and replaced some of the loose fitting vac lines and such I have a little problem getting the idle right . It's not real far off ,a little fast .I've moved the mixture screws a couple times . I can turn the idle screw out and it does'nt slow it down enough . The a/c sol. is'nt hooked up as the a/c is not working yet .I want to check and reset timing also but not sure of proper procedure . Specs on decal says 16 deg. Before or after??Thanx

Timing is set with the vacuum advance unhooked, and engine idling at the recomended rpm's, which is usually around 600-700rpm's. Too much initial timing will make it idle too fast with the speed screw backed all the way out. So will vacuum leaks, so make sure the timing is right and all vacuum leaks are fixed.....Cliff
