Title: Wondering, has anybody ever figured out part no.s on baseplates??

Wondering, i am sure for the pontiac Quadrajets the part no.s in a circle on the base plates, anybody ever figure them out?? I bought a C.D. but it shows as a assembly not the actual part no. and its application. Anybody ever figure it out???
