Title: well plugs
Post by: fat tony on April 08, 2013, 02:12:49 PM
hi cliff, i'm going to rebuild a 1976 q-jet 17056263 for my '67 gto. it's all apart except for throttle valves & secondary air plate.  it's cleaned up too. my question is, i put leak tek on the plugs underneath the carb, and applied high pressure air to the primary & secondary jet openings. not one bubble of air. should i leave these plugs alone.(front & rear)

or should these plugs always be sealed up, just in case of the possibility of a leak?

thanks. i think i will leave them alone.
i'll pick up the HP kit and a few other things
from cliff after i talk to him and see how it
runs again. came off a friends trans-am because
he wanted a holley. it's been sitting in my basement
since 1980.
