Title: Fuel coming out of vent tube
Post by: Kauaiman on April 28, 2013, 09:10:43 AM
First of all, bought your book on rebuilding quadrajets and it's been great. I rebuilt my marine quad that goes on a cruisader 454 hp engine . When I first started it up it ran great for the first 5-10 seconds, then fuel started coming out the vent tube and flooded the engine. I opened the top and checked the float and seat , tryed it again ,same problem. I changed the needle and seat with the kit,but not the float. Your book referenced electric fuel pumps, which my engine has, so do you think it could be a bad float or to much fuel pressure? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
