Title: Carburetor help
Post by: Joah_from_Alberta on June 06, 2013, 08:51:23 AM
I own a 1967 Oldsmobile CS.  I wish to replace the carburetor with a Cadillac carb #7045230  The jets are currently 62 and rods are 34 but the book calls for jets to be 59 and rods to be 36.  Will this be a problem?  Also, will I need to do anything else with this carburetor to make it run right?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Neither one of those carburetors use those jet and metering rods sizes.  The 7045230 carburetor is vastly different from the original Old's unit.  It is not a direct replacement.

The 67 Olds carb has much different linkage, type of choke, vacuum fittings, etc.....Cliff
