Title: q jet ported vacuum problem
Post by: jeffb on June 20, 2013, 12:18:05 PM
Hello, I have a "modified" q jet with the two ported vacuum ports plugged with a checkball and filled with epoxy. I would like to use the vacuum advance on my new Mallory distributor on my 455 Pontiac but have only full manifold vacuum as a choice, any suggestions on getting out the epoxy/checkball? Thanks!

Don't know if it will work, but I have heard spraying refrigerant on the epoxy will cause it to become brittle and then you can knock it out with a punch? A propane torch might work as well.
