Title: Idle bypass air hole size?

Hey guys. I'm in the middle of rebuilding with Cliff's HP kit for my street/strip truck. The carb #17085226. My question, because it isn't very clear in the book is what size the final holes below the throttle plates should be for my application? Below are my eng specs and pics of the holes I am referring to. The holes look bigger then they are. They tapper down to a pin hole inside. I have already verified that they have passages all the way up and out the air horn.

406 sbc aprox 10.7:1/400+ hp
12cc dished pistons
63 cc Edelbrock RPM heads
RPM air gap intake
Comp cam solid roller cam
280/280 with .550/.550 lift

You open the smaller hole the outer part is plenty big.

So drill the little hole that is inside the bigger hole to match the bigger hole?

280/280 on the cam - I'm guessing that's seat to seat duration? What's the duration at 0.050? What's the LSA?

Just looked it up - looks like you got a CC Magnum 280S. 236/236-110.

What size are the current holes? With your compression ratio and that cam they may be enough.
