Hi. I am wanting to hook up the scoops on my 1970 formula hood to the ram air cleaner that comes stock on the 1970 formulas. I have an Edelbrock performer carb and it won't let the aircleaner sit down because of the fuel inlet. I want to get rid of the Edelbrock and P4B intake and get an OEM stock intake and a quadrajet that will work with the dual snorkel 1970 ram air cleaner and hood. What quadrajet do I need to get to work with this setup?

The iron intakes from 68-72 are basically the same. I'd locate a 1969 or 1970 q-jet, the grocery getter units would be fine. The 71 and later Pontiac q-jets had a huge front vent tube, that doesn't fit the 1970 air cleaner base without modifications.....Cliff
