Title: Help!
Post by: Jth678 on February 13, 2014, 05:35:20 AM
I just got this carb can someone please tell me where the vacuum hose barb coming off the rear pull off goes? It has only the rear pull off. It's got one vacuum line to the carb then a big one right off the back of the pull off that I'm not sure about. The numbers for this carb is 17084226. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Any photos? That carb should only have 1 vacuum line off the rear pull-off to back port of carb.

It's got the one that goes to the back of the actual carb but then there is another barb directly off the back of the pull off I have a pic of it but It says the file is too large

Never mind. I think I see what you are referring to.

Is this the rear pull-off in question?

I believe that is an adjustment for something on the secondary side. Maybe the secondary air valves.

Cliff will know 100% what it's function is, but I don't believe that is a "vacuum" port.

Yes that's it! I've been looking all over trying to find out about it! Thanks a lot it looks so much like a barb for a hose I wasn't sure

Correct, it's not for vacuum, just used to adjust the choke unloading angle in lieu of bending the linkage.....Cliff
