Title: Adaptor for RPM manifold
Post by: muzzy on February 21, 2014, 11:09:01 AM
Hi I'm looking at getting an adaptor to fit my quadrajet to RPM air gap manifold.

Has anyone used this adaptor ? I do have some concerns about height and RPM air gap is a dual plane manifold.
Its for my 69 Camaro any suggestions.

I used one similar from Mr. Gasket awhile ago and didn't have any problems.

Muzzy  Is that going on a big block or a small block? I used a Edelbrock performer dual plane intake on my big block 1967 Camaro and with the insulation on the under side of the SS hood with a stock air breather on the carb it rubs the insulation. I think the air gap intake might be a little taller than the performer intake.   You might want to call Edelbrock and ask them what the height difference is between the two.   billy 2

Muzzy, that should help some since it is a small block.  I think that on the Edelbrock site there is a formula for finding the height of the intake manifold.  You should be able to use that formula to measure yours and compare it to the air gap manifold.  Good luck.  billy 2
