Title: 17057274 need to know oem specs
Post by: Frank400 on March 19, 2014, 05:05:16 PM
I just scored a 17057274 (1977 Trans Am 400) and it has, at one point, been commercially rebuilt, something I'm not very fond of but, hey, what can I do ?

Anyway, I tore it apart and measured it, I'd like to know if someone knows if those are the original "sizes".

Main Jet: 72
Main metering rods: 43L (.026 tip)

Main air bleeds: .070 and .057

Idle air bleeds: .068 upper
                       .070 lower

Idle tubes: .033
Down channel restriction: .0465

Idle discharge port: .090

secondary metering rods: DB
secondary hanger: K

accelerator pump discharge holes: .026

I can help a little. Stocks rods and jets were .071" Primary Jets, 45L Primary Metering Rods, "K" Secondary Hanger and DB Secondary Metering Rods. Sorry I cannot help out more.
