Title: Carb stumbles/dies off when WOT at 50/60 mhp
Post by: jasnake65 on April 25, 2014, 11:58:25 AM
Carb #7045268, 455 bored out 40, 6X heads to RPM intake, Ram 2 1/4 exhaust, TH350 trans ,2.93 posi, mild cam but cant remember numbers, have it written down somewhere.

Bought your rebuild kit last fall, didn't change nothing except new float and gaskets.  Ran well but seems when I'm at a rolling stop and WOT it takes off great dies when I reach 50/60 mph. Right when the trans shifts it dies then as soon i let off its back to normal

Agreed, sounds like the fuel pump isn't keeping up on hard runs....Cliff
