Title: nozzle drip at fast idle ONLY
Post by: Frank400 on April 30, 2014, 09:21:35 AM
carb is 7028260, 68 Firebird Sprint.  I'm getting nozzle drip at fast idle.  Is it "usual" to get nozzle drip at fast idle since the throttle is open more than at regular idle ?  Regular idle is fine.  This carb does not have idle air bypass but does have provisions.

Are you having any other problems?

My main system starts to come in with the fast idle cam [choke] or about 2000 RPM or so.

So it sounds like your condition is normal.

No, I have no other "problems", everything is fine.  It's even hard to see because the choke flap is almost closed at this point, being pulled open by the choke pull-off only.  I was guessing it would be normal since throttle opening is quite a bit at the highest position of fast idle.
