Title: carb main air bleed

i have a pontiac 301. car number 17057256  my question is. if i go from a .041 air bleed to a. 0.70 how much will it lean the af out. the car rins good. i am just putting on a better air horn

main air bleeds are. 0.41
lower. bleeds. 0.26
primary jet 0.73
primary rod. 49k

If you are talking about the airhorn main bleeds, that size isn't correct for that carburetor number right to start with.

Going from .041 to .070" is a huge change, all else being equal....Cliff

well. i have to jet it up. for 0.70 air horn bleeds.

If the carburetor is working good with the smaller airbleeds, the larger ones will make it lean everywhere on the primary side of the carburetor.

It is best when swapping out parts, to duplicate the airbleeds sizes in the new part with the ones you are removing, rather that swapping out jets to compensate.

We have screw in and press-in airbleeds for the airhorn in any size you would want.....Cliff
