Title: thoughts/opinions on the qjet #7029268 WF 4MV
Post by: silvibell22 on July 17, 2014, 10:47:16 AM
Hi,

My friend gave me this Qjet, #7029268 WF 4MV, along with the stock cast iron manifold. After doing some research, please correct me if im wrong, i found that this set was used in the 69 GTO's and that it was standard issue for the A/T 350/400's.

My application:

68 firebird
pontiac 400 bored .030
summit 2802 cam
forged flat tops
#13 heads
th400 auto tranny, 2500 stall
3:55 posi
headers
HEI

My goal: a nice street cruiser with around 350 HP.

My initial plan was to use the edelbrock intake carb and manifold but now that i have this, im thinking otherwise.

What are peoples thoughts/opinions regarding this particular carb?  is it worth using? is it worth the expense to have rebuilt? will this carb work well with my application? are there carbs available that will work better?

Thankyou!

Nice carb and intake, and they will work fine for what you are doing.  Contact the shop for some good parts for it, and we'll upgrade the jets and metering rods for what you are doing.....Cliff
