I am trying to find out how to modify a E4M to work w/o the ECM. The book says it is possible but goes into just a little detail.
I'm thinking it won't work unless the E4M is the type with a vacuum operated power piston that accompanies the idle mixture solenoid. Is this the case?
Any other insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

After considering this a bit more, I'm leaning towards the idea that this type carb (E4M) might be a better candidate for modifying it to be used w/o primary needles, and run off just jets (dropping the size by 5-7, like the book mentions).
Prolly just not too practical to try to convert it to non-ECM (M4M) use- cores are still readily available to make it a viable alternative.

The Computer Controlled carbs can be set up to run straight off a pair of jets w/o metering rods. We also recomend installing smaller main airbleeds. We have all of these parts as a tuning package.....Cliff
