Title: Qjet build questions
Post by: TransAm 474 on February 21, 2015, 04:31:35 PM
Hi Cliff, this is Jamie Holt, we are getting ready to put together our Qjet for our 1976 455 Trans Am,and have a couple quick questions. We ordered the HP kit from you along with jets, primary and secondary rods, electric choke, pull off and so on..... here are my questions.....

1. What color Power Piston Spring would you use?

2. Does the electric choke that I bought from you run on a full 12 volt, or does it need resisted down?

3. How many turns from seated should we start out with the APT screw, until the "tip in" procedure

455 .030"
9.5-1 compression
Crower 60243 cam 1.65 H.S. rockers
Performer RPM intake
6H heads 240cfm 2.11/1.77 valves ported by Marty Warden
68405 springs
TRW L2394 Dome piston
RPM 5140 rods

Thanks Cliff, Jamie

Light blue PP spring.

Full 12V, best place to find a keyed "on" wire is at the wiper motor.

3.5 turns up from seated....Cliff
