Title: Changing air horns?
Post by: oktorque on February 25, 2015, 09:07:50 AM
I have a 17059547 with Cliffs kit and following his recipe #1.  It has the POE extra tubes.  Rather than having to disassemble and change the cam and spring on this air horn, I'm wondering if I can substitute a nice clean rebuilt air horn from another 1705?  I realize I'll have to change or resize the bleeds accordingly.  Thanks, Cliff.

Those airhorns are similar, but not all the same on the later model carburetors.  Since the airhorn pretty much warps a the same rate as the main casting, it's always going to be better to keep the original parts together vs trying to swap in an airhorn from another carburetor.......Cliff
