Title: R4 carb # 28280 B 1959

Picked this up , but can't figure out what it is for . the numbers I have listed are where you would see the standard 70 or 170 number, good looking carb but the numbers make no sense . Thanks for your help and infoe

 That is a Marine Qjet. Some carbs were not stamped entirely. Probably 7028280.

 Also, could be a Service Replacement via the date code 195th day of 1979.

Yup by golly I think your right , can't do the pic thing right now . After inspection needs to be rebuilt and to much slop in the pri shaft [ common on a marine carb ] This carb was used from 1971 -1976 , but with the date code I agree its a service replacement  Thanks for the infoe Ethan 1.
