Is this carb for High performance use for a 455 ? I don't need this as I have found a different one for my project.

 Not sure what you are asking?

 Carb 7042262 was used on the '72 Pontiac Tempest, Grand Prix, and Firebird 455cid, Non-High Output, A/T.

That info helps , It has the slots in the secondary so I thought it was possibly HO . Is this a popular carb for Pontiac folks ? Thanks

It's a nice unit, but just the "grocery getter" version that year.  Same exact potential as the much more expensive Ram Air units, at a fraction or the cost......Cliff
